First Night Terror

Well last night did not go anywhere near as smooth as we had hoped for...in fact it's safe to say it was a complete nightmare.  Spro DID NOT like her crate!  Ooooh no!! I have NEVER heard such noises come from an animal.  It was borderline terrifying!  So this morning when I got out of bed at 5am I was SO discouraged.  Due to some scheduling issues my husband and I both had to work during the day today..not exactly conducive to training Spro.  So, because I live about three minutes from work I was able to come home about every hour to walk and play with Spro.  My plan was to just wear her out in the hour I came home both times...AND IT WORKED!!!  HALLELUJAH!  I ran her all over the yard then took her inside and played some more with her toys and let her fall asleep on the floor in front of her crate and then would place her in the crate and pet her until I was sure enough I could make a safe getaway... The first time I came home she barked until she saw me, then suddenly she stopped.  As I approached she began to whine a tiny bit but then stopped and I let her out.  The second time I cam home she didn't bark or whine at all...and to top off the afternoon I have gotten her to take two naps in the crate while I am sitting in bed AND THE KICKER....I just took her out to potty and I got in bed and she got in her crate all by herself...thank goodness..Say a prayer for tonight for us!!
