This is going to be shorter than usual because I am a bit rushed to write it. Firstly, I am late because 8 months just came WAY TOO FAST! If I spend too much time on this he will be 9 months by the time I finish! So 8 months! Things are going great! Beckett has become a master at the army crawl, occasionally moving forward with his knees. He likes to go after cell phones, remote controls, chapstick, and straws! He enjoys grabbing my ears and hair and pulling himself up. Yes... let me tell you exactly how good that feels...IT HURTS! OUCH! Nonetheless it is good..he just needs to do it on something other than my head haha!
He is eating all sorts of different foods and at this point he pretty much eats whatever we are eating... this makes things pretty easy in the dinner prep department. We are still nursing and since school is ALMOST done I won't have to pump too much longer which will be AWESOME!!!! I have really developed a love-hate relationship with that machine. I love that I am still able to give Beckett breast milk, but I hate using that darned machine. I used to not mind it, but really, it is soooooooooo (x100) much easier and low maintenance to just nurse him.
Beckett has also mastered using a sippy cup. We started around 6 months "practicing" and he is a pro now. One day it just clicked, and that was pretty cool to see that happen. He has two teeth and drools like a third is on the way! He is about 30-31 inches long and yesterday at the doctor he was 19lbs 15.5 oz. We had to go to the doctor yesterday because he had this wet cough that had been going on over a week. Turns out he has an ear infection. I'm glad I took him because he didn't even have a fever and wasn't acting unhappy. Always good to go with your mommy instinct!
